Mission Statement
The Vertical View Competition Team exists to develop athletes through competition climbing by fostering leadership, fellowship, and virtue to produce champions of both sport and humanity.
History
Our Team began in 2020 with the opening of Vertical View Climbing Gym and quickly became a driving force in the Treasure Valley climbing community. Starting with under 20 athletes and one team we grew to over 35 athletes over four teams.

What we look for.
We are a team that strives for excellence both on and off the wall. We value effort over everything. We look for athletes who demonstrate a positive attitude and a growth mindset. We prioritize sustainable improvement and creating systems for success. We build leaders at every level starting with our coaches.

What to expect.
We compete in USA Climbing’s (USAC) Youth Series. We are a part of Region 22 which is in turn one half of Division 2. More info on USAC’s region map, competition schedule, rulebook and more can be found on USA Climbing’s Website:
We practice anywhere from 1-3 times a week. We offer coaching support at all local Qualifier Events and most Championship Events. We expect our athletes to compete in all competitions for which they qualify.

U15 (Second Year), U17, U19, U20
Requirements:
Lead belay and climbing certification at Vertical View.
Expectations:
Your first athletic priority is competition climbing.
