  • Be a positive representative for Vertical View and enthusiastically welcome guests

  • Complete daily cleaning tasks and assess gym cleanliness issues as needed

  • Be a positive influence to the FD Crew and to each guest

  • Ensure critical guest check-in procedures are performed through the Capitan software

  • Educate guests on merchandise and complete sales transactions

  • Promote and educate guests on memberships and other programs and offerings

  • Perform floor walks, looking for proper techniques and addressing concerns

  • Teach instructional classes, make follow-up observations and corrections, and be versed in risk management

Front Desk Requirements

  • Part-time position

  • 18 years of age or older preferred

  • Must be available to work 18 hours per week minimum with the flexibility to work nights and weekends

  • Customer service and retail experience, climbing-specific preferred

  • Must be top rope certified before the first training shift and lead belay certified within the first month

  • Willing to participate in and learn all industry-standard training provided by Vertical View instructors

  • CPR/First Aid certification is provided by Vertical View

Physical Requirements

  • Physical ability to respond and react quickly and efficiently within the facility

  • Must be able to perform all movements relating to belaying and belay instruction

  • Participate and show proper climbing technique

  • Carry/lift up to 25 lbs and stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time

  • Physical fitness is required in order to participate in classes and show participants proper climbing techniques

Pay and Perks
