Here are a few simple ways to be a good steward of the land and the community!

Respect the Climbing Area

  • Stay on established trails to prevent erosion

  • Pack out everything you bring in (even tape and micro trash)

  • Follow local rules, closures, and access guidelines

  • Keep chalk use minimal—brush your tick marks when you’re done

Respect other climbers

  • Be mindful of shared space—don’t crowd routes or “spray beta” unless it’s wanted

  • Take turns and avoid monopolizing popular climbs

  • Keep noise and music at a reasonable level

  • Celebrate others’ sends—community over ego

Respect the Climbing Area

  • Double-check knots, harnesses, and belays every time

  • Communicate clearly with your partner

  • Don’t rush—safety > sending

  • Be honest about your abilities and limits

Leave it better

  • Pick up extra trash if you see it

  • Respect wildlife and plant life

  • Support access organizations and local climbing groups

  • Help new climbers feel welcome and included
